Fuggles – Where you’ll find our name in Kent

There are several houses and two roads in Kent that bear the name Fuggles.

In the village of Hadlow on the road between Tonbridge and Maidstone there is a house simply called Fuggles. It has been converted from a less common square shaped oast house.

In the village of Chart Sutton between Maidstone and Headcorn there is a house called Fuggles Oast. This is another oast house conversion, this time of the more common round type.

Further south in the village of Sandhust, not far from Tenterden, you will find a Fuggles Cottage.

In Paddock Wood there is a road called Fuggles Close. As far as I know, there are no Fuggles living there.

In the village of Benenden, just off the village green, you will find a cul-de-sac called Fuggles Court. This was built on the site of Fuggles Garage.
